ABOUT CHITRA LANE SCHOOL FOR THE SPECIAL CHILD

Established in 1967, the Chitra Lane School is a government approved charity. It is a day school providing educational, vocational, and extra curricular for 265 intellectually impaired children between the ages of 5-22 years. The aim of the school is to help those with special needs to develop to their fullest potential thus, enabling them to lead independent and useful lives, both at home and in the community.

The Student Sponsorship Scheme –

This scheme includes children who are participating in the school programmes as well as the resource centre. It offers support to children from low income families and assists them to develop to their fullest potential. Financial support is provided for special education, health, nutrition and overall well being.

The sponsor will be kept informed of the child’s progress through regular reports
